At this time of year, you may enjoy looking at all of the beautiful holiday lights. However, if the lights appear to have halos around them or look like star bursts, it may be time to see your eye doctor. This can be caused by a number of things including uncorrected near sightedness or astigmatism. Dirty contact lenses will cause visual distortions as well, either due to the deposits on the lenses or due to corneal swelling from the old lenses. So, if your holiday lights look especially radiant this year, it may be time to make an appointment with the eye doctor.
